Optically identical across both versions, it was designed as a portrait and general-purpose telephoto, offering a field of view equivalent to an 85mm lens on 35mm format—making it a go-to choice for medium format portraiture. It features a 6-element - 5-group design with Super Multi-Coating (SMC) and a 10-blade automatic diaphragm, stopping down to f/22. The lens focuses as close as 1.6 meters, delivering a 0.13× magnification ratio, and uses a 67 mm filter thread. It includes a built-in sliding hood, inner bayonet mount, and was typically supplied with the S120-150 case. It measures 91.5 × 98.5mm, weighs 835g, and lacks internal focusing or weather sealing.
