Service Manual: Disassembly/Re-assembly

Full CLA: 4-6 hrs.

Tighten and secure front housing: 2 hrs.
CAUTION: Addressing a loose front housing requires removal of floating group, thus disturbing collimation, so quote accordingly.
Adj. iris when uneven: 1 hr.
rubbing against brass click plate internally. bend away from iris linkage
re-collimate: 1 hr.
Has floating element. if rotates out of position, focus can jam early.
remove rubber grip, loosen screws, adj focus for proper collimation. Focus scale held on by small pinch ring. glue through screw holes but not too much. can get onto inner helical.
Adjust field: 2 hrs.
to adj. field, remove front engraved ring, loosen three phillips screws around front group, rotate front group, tighten and secure screws.
Adjust iris for full travel: 2 hrs.
Remove front engraved ring, remove three phillips screws and reverse thread front group toward front, loosen set screw in housing underneath and rotate inner helical to open/close iris (three dimples in housing for set screw to prevent helical from rotating), rest/glue all screws. may need to adjust screws in iris linkage for fine adjustments.
