if there is lost motion in the focus of a ZEISS Zf.2 50mm f/2 Makro (that feels like the screws on the scale are loose), that actually means the keys that drive the focus are worn, and you need to punch them. Go in from the back.

secure loose rings: 2 hrs.
replace glass: 1 hr. for front/rear elements
