Pentax 67 SMC Takumar 75mm f/4.5
Summary
The SMC Pentax 67 / S-M-C Takumar 6×7 / Super Takumar 75mm f/4.5 is a versatile wide-angle prime introduced in 1969 for the Pentax 6×7 system, and produced through three generations: Super Takumar, Super-Multi-Coated Takumar, and finally SMC Pentax 67 in 1989. With its 61° diagonal field of view, it provides a slightly wider perspective than the 90mm or 105mm lenses, roughly equivalent to a 35mm lens on full-frame, making it ideal for environmental portraiture, landscapes, and general travel photography. Optically, it employs a 5-element, 4-group design with later versions benefiting from SMC coating, and features an 8-blade automatic diaphragm with a range from f/4.5 to f/22. The lens focuses down to 70 cm, achieving a 0.14× magnification ratio, and mounts filters via a bayonet-style 82 mm thread. Weighing around 600 g (or 560 g in the later SMC version), it measures 91.5 × 81 mm, and lacks internal focusing or an “A” setting, but pairs well with accessories like the S90-140 hood and clip-on caps.
Came in three variants with similar specs:
Super Takumar 6×7 75mm f/4.5 in 1969; Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 6×7 75mm f/4.5 in 1971; SMC Pentax 67 75mm f/4.5 in 1989
