Voigtländer 35mm f/1.5 Nokton Aspherical Type I
Summary
The small series of the Voigtländer 35mm/1:1.5 aspherical lens combines three characteristics: small size, high speed and excellent optical performance. As “the” standard focal length on rangefinder cameras, 35mm is a popular choice; and Voigtländer currently offers five lenses in this focal length. Each of these lenses has its own unique, special characteristics. The new 35mm/1:1.5 VM is the result of the search for a new standard lens that combines the best of these qualities. All models share a 6-group, 9-element optical system, with two double-sided aspherical lenses ensuring high optical performance at all apertures. The minimum focusing distance is 50cm, offering significantly more close-up range than the 70cm offered by the optical viewfinder (depending on the camera type). Two versions are available: Type I is made of aluminum, in a sensational matte black finish, weighs only 188 g, and is easy to handle with a length of just 36 mm. Type II is made of solid brass with the same length, weighs 284 g, and is available in black or silver finishes.
